Hello, i'm back again.
Just simple question - where are the downloads for hoi3???
I need PROPER german flags (or maybe old flags made for hoi2 are working?)
As for the links - don't know german language as good to read it, dont see download option though.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Oh, and question number 2, is this site dedicated only to old game versions, or will there be hoi3 section soon?

Thank You for all answers

Anyway, I got the flags, but the problem with the game is more complex

As for the graphic issue:
1)
The map colors are very similar, melting between which is kinda confusing when looking at the different countries from the distance.

2)
But the most irritating thing is province names issue. When zoom out - to see the whole borderline - the provincenames disappear, therefore (I am at beginning of the game) leading any big campaign would be horrible zoom in-zoom out sequence.

Not to mention non-graphic bug, with production sliders which tend to block and go crazy after choosing "set to demand amount" or something like that (can't check the exact name at the moment)

Attention: These are only BETA-Screenshots. There is no finished version so far. Probably next month the map and other modifications will be available for downloading.

I doubt the problem with zooming in and out can be fixed by a modder. The province names disappearing when not zoomed in seems to be engine specific.

However, you can get the province name on a tooltip just by holding the pointer over a section of the map (for how long depending on how well the game is running at that particular moment).

Paradox has also promised an HoI2 style terrain map which should help some of what you were talking about.

Try wikipedia.

http://www.wikipedia.org/

In the search field type in the subject you are looking for and you should find the flag there. Which you can then right click on and save to your computer to manipulate and put into your game.

I personally like the style of the Kriegsmarine ensign, and even though its not quite historically accurate I use it instead. It can also have the squashed bug symbol blanked out and still look like a proper flag (the genuine flag looks particulalry odd without it, rather like a reversed colour Imperial Japanese flag). You can find the ensign in wikipedia by searching for Kriegsmarine.

Hmm, according to wiki (not the most relaible source to be sure) the tri-colour used in the game was removed from use in 1935.

Thanks for the help. I like the Kriegsmarine flag better myself. Somehow playing with the red, white and black doesn't give me the whole "mad tyrant out to conquer the world" feeling!
